Inside Rising China
Experience the new China from inside one of its ancient capitals. On this program, you will gain insight into China’s recent rise as a major player in the world economy and engage with the political, environmental, and social challenges that the country and its people face today.
This six-week program focuses on China’s role in the world and specifically addresses China-US relations, Chinese economic development, and Chinese politics and political reform, among other topics. The program consists of three academic components worth 3 credits each: a mandatory core seminar that includes lectures and discussions with prominent Chinese and international personnel, an optional internship, and an optional independent study.
